  1. Everyone Ketos differently  

Strict Keto, Lazy Keto, Dirty Keto — it’s all Keto at the end of the day. Heck, even here at KetoKrate, no two Keto’ers are exactly alike. Your journey is uniquely yours, and the truth is that no matter how much they holler, the Keto police can’t actually arrest you. Do what works for you!


  1. Your body isn’t Amazon Prime. It’s going to take more than 2 days to get results

Despite the sensational stories and dramatic before-and-after photos we see in our news feeds, not many people lose 20+ lbs a month. If you’re a self-proclaimed slow loser, keep calm and Keto on. Comparing your progress to others will only distract or discourage you.

  1. Success isn’t a straight line 

There are going to be bumps in the road and times where you will feel discouraged. Remember you are worth the effort!

  1. Take progress pictures even if you hate them!!  

It’s easy to lose track of the bigger picture when your only focus is the number on the scale. Keeping track of non-scale victories — like progress photos, measurements, and how you feel — will help you look back and see how far you’ve come.

  1. Treat Yo’Self!

  1. We all slip up. The important thing is to get up and keep going! 

No need to beat yourself up over it. Sometimes you fall and a cupcake lands in your mouth. Chalk it up to physics and move on.

  1. It’s okay to say, “No thank-you,” when offered carbie foods. 

If you don’t want to bring up the word “Keto,” say you’re insulin resistant. No one asks questions when you say it that way.

  1. If you feel like junk, you probably need electrolytes

Keto’ers lose water faster than a bucket with a hole in it. This is due to something called lipolysis. When fat breaks down, it converts into carbon dioxide, ATP, and water. The carbon dioxide is expelled when breathing, ATP is the energy currency our body uses, and the water is released by going to the bathroom more. Every time you use the bathroom, you are losing electrolytes, and with nature calling more often than a crazy-ex, it’s important to replenish them.

  1. Not everyone is going to accommodate your dietary requirements and that’s okay.

  2. Can you tell me if your snacks have sugar, gluten in it? Also, is there any way to get the snacks without pork products???

We occasionally do have sugar as an ingredient — for example, a beef stick may use minimal amounts of cane sugar during the preservation process. However, we only include products like this if the product otherwise has high nutritional value and quality ingredients.       Great question, Sara! It’s fairly common for people to experience a bit of the “runs” when they first enter ketosis. Sometimes, an unsuspecting keto’er will mistake it as ‘just gas’ and well….you know where I’m going with this…

  5. My friend has a subscription and she passed on a few items and let me say what a happy person I became instantly! I’ve been doing keto for about a month and realized when I was doingnit in the past, I was not very knowledgeable about macros- but now im set and I can’t wait to get my order! This is the first ‘diet’ where I dont feel like im ‘dieting!’ I eat and cook and have found a cooking to be so much fun!! I used to think healthy eating was grilled chicken and broccoli- how wrong was I! For those that don’t know, keto farts….. they’re real and as unpleasant as it it, just remember you’re saying BYEEEEE FAT!!!!!!

  6. I’m excited to get my first box in July. I’ve only been truly on this diet for two days but I jumped into education and groceries and apps on June first, 5 days so. I work full time and live in a small town so this will give me work and home snacks.

  10. I can not control overeating! I try to limit but then obsession kicks in & then the guilt! So then I starve myself & feel so weak. I want to get my control back & feel motivated!

    1. Hi Danielle, thanks for reaching out. We’re sorry you’re in that place right now, and we’ve completely been there. Try to give yourself grace right now as you get back to that place of being motivated — because you will get there! The overeating/restrict cycle is a hard pattern to escape, but our best advice is to find a middle ground so your body and mind don’t feel such a need to go to extremes. Rather than starving yourself for a week (which then increases the chance of overeating again later), forgive yourself for the extra calories and move forward like nothing happened. Try striving for more consistency rather than perfection. Luckily, we have an article all about this coming out this Saturday, so keep your eyes out for that article! There are lots of great tips and points in that article that will help you get back to that place of motivation 🙌
